The “Burnout Society”

The Burnout Society Webinar explores burnout in a broader social and societal context, not just at the personal level. It is for people looking for help navigating their influence in changing dysfunctional cultural norms and advocating for sustainable communities, homes and workplaces. It starts with exploring Burnout as a collective maladaptation and distortion to our natural way of life, embodied through legacy institutions of power and understandings of value.

The Webinar offers 5 guiding principles to interrupt the Burnout Society and be part of the solution: Being Right-Sized, Managing your Attention and Energy, Conscious Social Belonging, Flexing Roles and Identity, and Cultivating Emotional and Social Intelligence.

How does this video relate to what I do?

It takes a system perspective! I help organisations address and reduce burnout by improving the way they work. My focus is on making sure business systems don’t unintentionally set staff up for burnout. By taking a whole-of-system perspective, I facilitate subtle yet powerful interventions that, over time, empower staff to shape their work in healthier, more sustainable ways.

When working with organisations, I focus on the root causes of workplace issues that drive burnout—supporting staff wellbeing as a natural outcome. When working one-on-one with staff, I help them build energy, advocacy, ownership, and interpersonal skills. In turn, businesses benefit, as these are the very skills needed to meet organisational challenges effectively.
