Since the pandemic, my work has focused on deeply understanding and solving problems of staff burnout, designing meaningful work and reversing trends in psychological injury plaguing health care and social service sectors.
My original credentials are in economics and psychology, both disciplines that have doggedly held on to notions of science and progress now at least century old. After working on public policy reform for over a decade, I've seen all too well how best efforts to make things better for people has too often had the opposite effect. While providing me with a potent language fluency to talk to current affairs and the failures of the system, in recent years it has been my own personal recovery experience and love of creative expression that has been the north star of my work.
The Burnout Lady was born out of a program I developed on the fly for Service NSW to support staff dealing with burnout. At the time I was doing post graduate psychology study in lockdown - a great time to deep dive on a topic becoming so relevant and yet hard to define.
The Burnout Lady brings together training, coaching and mental health education all shaped according to the operating environment of your business! This content highlights what people need to be fulfilled, effective and healthy. Whether your staff are just low level flat or dealing with unprecedeted changes, these programs empower us to move away from blaming or lamenting our dysfunctional entrenched political and economic systems and practicing new ways of connecting and contributing to new ways of working.
Below I share with you more about how I work and what led me here…
