Start whereever you are
In traditional indigenous societies, the elders pay attention to signs of what a young child is here to do. This would shape the opportunities they were given to learn and what protections and disciplines they needed to birth their gift to their community.  Treatment of elders reflected a profound respect and gratitude for their role serving life this way.  Many of us long for a return to this way of life. I felt this profound disconnect from a young age. Growing up in Sydney’s conservative north shore, I was not satisfied with most of the answers I was given to how the world works and why people made the decisions they did. The undue importance of money and keeping up appearances got the better of me, like any people.  In my 40s did I come to listen to, and understand, the quiet but incessant curiosities about how we could reconnect with what matters and do business differently.
